The New York Yankees wrapped up a dominant three-game sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, winning 12-3 in a game that showcased their incredible power.

The Yankees belted seven home runs in the series finale, bringing their total to 15 homers over the first three games.

This set a major league record for most home runs in that span, tying the 2006 Detroit Tigers.

Aaron Judge, fresh off a historic performance the day before, wasted no time continuing his impressive start to the season.

After hitting three home runs the day before, Judge sent a two-run shot over the left-field fence off Brewers starter Aaron Civale in the first inning.

Judge’s blast made him the first Yankee to hit four home runs in the first three games of a season, underscoring his continued dominance at the plate.

He also added three walks in the game, showing patience in the batter's box despite the chilly 44-degree weather.

Jazz Chisholm Jr., acquired from the Marlins in July 2023, also had a big day at the plate, hitting two home runs.

After Judge was intentionally walked in the third, Chisholm sent a pitch from Civale over the fence for a solo shot, making it 4-1.

After Judge drew another walk in the seventh, Chisholm launched his second homer of the game.

This marked the third multi-homer game for Chisholm since joining the Yankees, and the sixth of his career.

His power bat has proven to be a valuable addition to the Yankees’ lineup.

Ben Rice continued the offensive explosion with a two-run homer in the seventh.

Paul Goldschmidt, hitting leadoff for just the second time in his career, contributed three hits and an RBI single during a five-run seventh inning.

The Yankees’ offense was relentless, and it was clear they were in control from start to finish.

On the mound, Marcus Stroman, starting for the Brewers, allowed three runs over 4 2/3 innings, and Tim Hill picked up the win for the Yankees after coming on in relief.

Hill’s biggest moment came in the fifth inning when he struck out Christian Yelich on three pitches with the bases loaded, preserving a 5-3 lead and keeping Milwaukee from making a serious comeback attempt.

The Brewers did get a two-run homer from Jake Bauers off Stroman in the fourth inning, and Sal Frelick added an RBI single, but they couldn’t keep up with the Yankees’ firepower.

With the loss, the Brewers dropped to 0-3 to start the season, marking their first such start since 2015.

This victory pushed the Yankees to a perfect 3-0 to begin the season, marking their first consecutive 3-0 starts since the 1994 and 1995 seasons.

The Yankees’ 36 runs in the series set a franchise record, and their 15 home runs tied the MLB record for the most in the first three games of a season.

The Yankees’ performance has set the tone for what looks like a powerful and balanced team this season.

The next test comes against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday, with right-hander Will Warren taking the mound for New York against Arizona ace Corbin Burnes.
