Digital Media Intern at FIU Athletics (Aug. 2024 - Jan. 2025)
FIU Athletics at Florida International University is dedicated to promoting excellence through a wide range of competitive sports. As part of the media team, I played a key role in capturing the energy and excitement of fall 2024 sports events, including football, men’s and women’s basketball, and women’s volleyball. I photographed practices, pre-games, and the games themselves. I excelled in high-pressure situations, whether on the sidelines, amid the fast-paced volleyball action, or on the basketball court. In addition, I
collaborated with the team on various creative projects, contributing content for social media, websites, and promotional materials.
This internship provided me with valuable hands-on experience in sports media production, allowing me to hone my skills in photography, video editing, and visual storytelling. Working alongside a talented media team, I gained insight into how powerful visuals can enhance fan engagement and support the broader mission of FIU Athletics. My role not only enhanced my technical abilities but also deepened my understanding of how impactful media content can help shape the identity and culture of a sports program.
