Florida swept Missouri in a Saturday doubleheader at Condron Family Ballpark, winning 5-0 in game one and 3-2 in game two.
The pair of victories gave the Gators their first SEC series sweep of the season.
In the opener, freshman Aidan King delivered a standout performance on the mound.
The right-hander tossed 5 and 2/3 shutout innings, allowing just four hits and one walk while striking out seven.
It was King’s sixth career start, and he improved to 4-1 on the year while lowering his team-best ERA to 2.68.
Florida broke through offensively in the third inning when Colby Shelton drove in the first run with an RBI single to right after a double steal by Ashton Wilson and Bobby Boser.
The Gators added another in the fourth when Brody Donay tripled in Blake Cyr, who had reached after being hit by a pitch.
The sixth inning gave Florida all the insurance it needed.
Justin Nadeau drove in a run with a double to right-center, and Boser followed with a two-RBI single to stretch the lead to 5-0.
Boser went 3-for-4 with two RBI, extending his on-base streak to 18 straight games.
Shelton also had a multi-hit game, logging his SEC-leading 17th double and his team-best 20th multi-hit performance of the season.
Jake Clemente recorded the final four outs in relief, earning his second save with 1 and 1/3 hitless innings and two strikeouts.
Missouri starter Kaden Jacobi was charged with the loss, allowing three earned runs over 5 and 1/3 innings.
In game two, Missouri struck first with a solo homer from Pierre Seals in the second inning off Florida starter Luke McNeillie.
Making his first start of the season, McNeillie held the Tigers to just one run over four innings, striking out five.
Florida quickly responded in the fourth when Brendan Lawson drew a walk and Cyr followed with a go-ahead, two-run homer—his sixth of the year—to put the Gators in front 2-1.
Missouri tied the game in the top of the sixth on a solo homer by Cayden Nicoletto.
That set the stage for a walk-off finish in the bottom of the seventh.
Wilson was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning and advanced to third on a double by Nadeau.
After an intentional walk to Shelton loaded the bases, Lawson delivered the decisive blow with a single to right field, scoring Wilson to clinch the 3-2 win.
Lawson went 2-for-3 in the finale with a walk, a run scored, and the game-winning RBI.
Alex Philpott earned the win in relief, striking out four over three innings while allowing one run.
Florida's pitching staff allowed just two total runs across 14 innings on Saturday, striking out 18 and giving up only eight hits.
The Gators improved to 24-14 overall and 4-11 in conference play with the sweep.
They’ve now won four straight games and remain a perfect 18-0 at home against Missouri under head coach Kevin O’Sullivan.
Florida is 34-8 all-time in the series and 22-1 at home.
Shelton has reached base safely in 37 of 38 games this season.
Attendance was strong in Gainesville, with 6,140 fans for game one and 6,067 for game two.
Florida wraps up its homestand Tuesday night with a 6:30 p.m. game against Stetson on SEC Network+.
